DOUBLE DUTY COWHORSE Cowboys
have many duties on every ranch they work for. One day he may build
fence, and then another day he may brand and cut the yearling calves.
Sometimes he is out on the roundup wagon for weeks or months at a
time gathering cattle from the far corners of a big ranch. While he
is living at a line cabin, he might get tired of the canned food,
beans and jerky. Here we see a cowboy bringing in the deer he shot
back to camp to butcher and share with the other hands that are on
roundup with him. |
