DOWN FROM THE STRONGHOLD In
the Arizona Territory of the late 19th century and early 20th century,
the Apache Indians were the rulers and monarchs of what are now known
as the Pinal and White Mountains. The headquarters of Geronimo's tribe,
known as the Stronghold, was hidden so well in those beautiful granite,
pine covered mountains that no one he did not want in could find it.
Here we see a lone Apache coming down to the desert area. |
