MORNIN CALL FOR HORSES Most large ranches keep many horse, called the Remuda, that are trained and ready to work at the different jobs the cowboys need to get done each day. It's an early morning ritual when the Wagonboss brings in the Remuda and each cowboy calls out the name of the horse he want to use that day. The ranch hands know which horse they prefer for whatever job is to be done that day. The Wagonboss ropes each horse the cowboys have called out and the horse is saddled by that cowboy and they ride off to the section of ranch where the boss has sent them. Bill has created this miniature sculpture so the viewer can have the opportunity to sense the dust, smells, heat and traditions that are so much a part of the world where the American Cowboy lives and works. This exclusively American lifestyle and culture is very important to Bill and it is imperative that this cowboy is portrayed in a truthful and respectful manner , that honors their loyalty to God, family, country, the land and their animals.
