MORNIN CALL FOR HORSES

13"H x 7"W x 6"D

Most large ranches keep many horses, called the Remuda, that are trained and ready to work at the different jobs the cowboy need to do each day.  It's an early morning ritual when the Wagonboss brings in the Remuda and each cowboy calls out the name of the horse he want to use for that day's work.  The ranch hands know which horse is best suited for that particular day's job.  Then the Wagonboss ropes out each horse and the cowboy saddles it up and ride off to the section of the ranch where the boss has sent them to work.  Bill has created this small sculpture to capture the feelings, dust, smells and traditions that are so much a part of the world of the American cowboy.  For Bill it is imperative to portray the cowboy in an honorable, proud manner, fit for their traditions.
