SIPPING JUG Mountain men of the early frontier days would gather together once or twice a year at what they called a Rendezvous. This was a time to trade fur and other goods, tell stories about the dangers and adventures they experienced, drink the available brew and generally have a great time with others like themselves. Here we see one of the leather and fur clad mountain men enthusiastically partaking from one of the jugs of brew provided at Rendezvous.
