THE COOK'S TEAM When
the Cowboy Artists of America were invited to the Haythorn Ranch in
Nebraska for the annual trailride, Bill was extremely impressed with
how that historic ranch has kept the old traditions. They use a horse
drawn chuckwagon and do all the gathering of cattle from horseback,
instead of from a modern pickup truck. Here we see the magnificent
set of work horses trained and used by the cook for the chuckwagon.
